Dream Team's Motto: "Team Work Makes A Dream Work"
Dream Team Founding Scripture: Ephesians 6:7 Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
Our purpose is to inspire and equip families in need of "Life Givers" in a Christ-honoring way to provide daily personal care to "differently enabled" family members.
Our mission for the future will be to provide the "Dream Team Model" worldwide to families living with “differently-enabled” loved ones whom require daily personal care via a customized "How To” guide with a written Step-by-Step approach placed down inside a binder with supportive photos, table of contents and divider tabs for easy reference.
The Dream Team will have rotational teams, point people to oversee scheduling of the team and people set aside for the sole purpose of encouragement.
The "Dream Team Model" reinvents the main caregivers role tenfold, allows for flexibility, daily continuity and helps prevent burnout. The team approach brings a wealth of wisdom and allows the "differently-enabled" to live a life with purpose and intent.
We want to change the culture as it relates to daily personal care by bringing vibrancy into daily living and place value on those providing the care with spiritual renewal, accountability, boundaries and emotional health!

These core eight Cedarville Students, quickly realized that “Eight Dream Team members was Not enough” and went out at the leadership of Amy and Lauren and quickly grew Emily’s Dream Team to 36 students on a VOLUNTEER basis! It was not until March of 2008, that Emily could begin to pay most of these amazing students. We LOVE Emily’s Dream TEam
Mentor and Big Sister
Shanna became Emily’s Big Sister at Far Hills Church in March 2002 and also played a huge role in Emily’s journey at Cedarville University.
For example, hosted Emily on campus a few times over night during LIttle Sibs Weekend!

Wow, how to even begin describing this group of students picture here at Cedarville University Student Center on October 4, 2007.
Back in February 2007, we hired 8 visionary students to help Emily in the Fall of 2007 once she moved on campus as a Freshman.
We quickly realized that “Eight Was Not Enough” but Emily and I were at a loss as to what to do.
One evening, Amy Vanover and Lauren Laake, came to Emily’s dorm room with clipboards and a plan!
I grabbed my clipboard with notepad and started writing and within 3 weeks, 36 students came forward to help Emily live on campus independently and on a volunteer basis!
Love the servant heart leaders - called students now Dream Team ALumni at Cedarville University!!!

God sent both Tracey and Allie into our lives to help us transition Emily back home from Cedarville University and keep Emily living as an independent adult.

Ebony was our second Personal Care Aide for Emily.
Ebony came into our lives on February 5, 2001.
Oh the stories but Ebony taught our family how to use a floor lift!
Ebony is now Mother to beautiful Chyane.
Ebony went back to school and became a Nurse in 2016.

Meet Emily Shanahan's Amazing Dream Team.
Emily has aptly named her Daily Personal Care team, "The Dream Team" as they are a group of servant heart leaders whom are world changers.
The Dream Team is comprised of students whom are pursing their dreams of achieving a vigorous education at Cedarville University and all the while find time to come and joyfully serve our family.
